Dear Friends,Let's Lend a Hand to Our Brothers & Sisters in North Carolina!Hurricane Helene has left a devastating impact on our brothers and sisters in North Carolina. Many urgently need food, clothing, and other essential supplies.The Southwick Civic Fund is organizing a collection drive to support those affected by this disaster. Please consider donating any non-perishable food items, or other essential supplies.Two trailers will be parked at the Southwick Fire Department and open 24/7 for drop-offs. Each Trailer will be marked for the different items needed.Drop-off Location: Southwick Fire Department Collection Start Date: TUESDAY OCTOBER 8, 2024, 4:00 P.M. End date when trailers are full.DUE TO WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS NO WATER BOTTLES.Items Needed:Non-Perishable Suggested Food Items:Dried beans, nuts, peanut butter, coffee, powdered milk, rice, pastas, dry cereal, baby formula, sugar.**If donating canned goods, please get the type with pop off tops.Items Needed: Essential supplies:- Diapers, creams, and ointment needed for rashes.- Laundry baskets, work gloves, brooms, tarps, duct tape, tie-down straps, blankets.- Personal hygiene items like deodorant, toothpaste, shampoos, soaps.- Extension cords, heavy rope, batteries of all sizes, flashlights, tarps of all sizes,- Cold Weather Clothing: Please Launder and Bag. Hoodies of all sizes, socks and heavy socks, flannel shirts, blankets, sweatpants for all ages. - Let's come together as a community and show our support during this difficult time.
