Firearms Licensing/Renewal

Firearms Licensing BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

• Tuesday 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm. 
• Wednesday 9:00 am – 12:30 pm

Fees for Firearms Licensing:

• License to Carry (LTC) and Firearms Identification Card (FID) – $100.00
• LTC and/or FID renewals for ages 70+ – No charge

Please include the required application fee.

You MAY need to submit:

1. A Massachusetts Basic Firearms Safety Course Certificate
2. Fingerprints (by appointment only)
3. A form of identification
4. Proof of residence

To qualify for the grace period: 

1. You MUST submit your renewal application prior to the expiration date of your current license.
2. Contact your local firearms licensing officer for specific information on the application process

To Renew Non-Resident License to Carry Firearms:

You must renew your non-resident LTC annually through the Firearms Record Bureau.
